Our Mission

Psychodiagnostics explores and develops methods of psychological testing to measure and understand individual differences in cognition, values, and personality. Psychodiagnostics aims to provide a range of innovative tests at a single site.

Personnel

Casuarina Tham, PhD is lead member of the Psychodiagnostics team. She is a registered psychologist in Hong Kong. In her professional work, Casuarina served as a Clinical Supervisor for the clinical psychology program at the University of Hong Kong and as a Lecturer for the Ohio University Program in Hong Kong. She served as a clinical psychologist at the Department of Psychiatry, Tuen Mun Hospital; Violetpeel Polyclinic, Siu Lam Hospital and The Society of Homes for The Handicapped. Casuarina is fluent in five languages. In addition to her duties as a member of the team and executive coach, she provides consultation and conducts workshops on creativity, imagination, preventive stress management,  and emotional intelligence for organizations.

Leland van den Daele, PhD, ABPP, is author of the Music Apperception Test. Leland is a clinical developmental psychologist, a psychoanalyst, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Psychology. Among his professional roles, he served as Research Director at the University of Illinois Child Development Laboratory, Supervising Psychoanalyst in the program of psychotherapy at the American Institute of Psychoanalysis, and Chair of the Department of Clinical Psychology and Dean of the School of Professional Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Leland taught at the University of Pennsylvania, City University of New York, Teachers College, Columbia University, the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology, Rutgers University, and the California School of Professional Psychology. He served on the editorial board of the American Journal of Psychoanalysis for more than twenty years, as Councilor to the Association for Advancement of Psychoanalysis, as board member for the California Psychological Internship Council (CAPIC), and as consultant to research and academic programs. He has written or edited four books and monographs and more than forty articles that appeared in professional publications. Leland is Emeritus Professor of Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco and in private practice in Petaluma, California.
